What to Expect from Facial Fillers

Step 1: Consultation

During your consultation, you and your provider will discuss the best treatment options for your desired results. We want to provide you with personalized care that takes your entire aesthetic journey into account.

Step 2: Treatment

Your provider places the injections according to your customized treatment plan and unique facial anatomy. We will map out where each injection should go before starting. Placing injections can take as little as half an hour!

Step 3: Results

Fillers add facial volume immediately! You may experience some mild swelling or bruising after your appointment, but these resolve on their own quickly. You can enjoy natural-looking results for the next 6 to 9 months.

Care Instructions

Pre-Care Instructions

  • We recommend avoiding any cosmetic treatments with lasers, IPL, or peels for at least 2 weeks before your filler treatment.
  • Avoid blood thinners, anticoagulants, and multivitamins for at least a week before your appointment. Consult your primary care provider before discontinuing any medications.
  • Avoid alcohol leading up to your appointment to help minimize any bruising or bleeding.

Post-Care Instructions

  • For 6 hours following injections, don’t manipulate, press, rub, or touch the injection sites, and avoid lying on your face.
  • For 24 to 48 hours after treatment, avoid alcohol, caffeine, high-sodium foods, spicy foods, and smoking.
  • For the next 2 days, avoid vigorous exercise, UV light like tanning beds and sunlight, and heat exposure.
  • Continue to avoid blood thinners, anticoagulants, and multivitamins for another 3 to 7 days after treatment. Talk to your primary care provider before discontinuing medication.
