What to Expect From Sculptra

Step 1: Consultation

During your consultation, we will examine your skin and listen to your concerns. We will use this information to build an individualized Sculptra treatment plan for you.

Step 2: Treatment

We will inject Sculptra into facial areas based on your personal care plan. The amount of Sculptra will vary depending on the extent of volume loss; we often recommend using 1 vial for every decade of age.

Step 3: Results

Sculptra restores facial volume by improving your skin’s internal structure, so your results will develop gradually over time. Your skin will grow firmer and smoother over the next 3 to 6 months.

What Sculptra Treats

Sculptra is a nonsurgical treatment option for facial hollowness. Its specialized poly-L-lactic acid formula rejuvenates your skin while encouraging your skin cells to produce more collagen. Sculptra can enhance your facial features and treats the following:

Care Instructions

Pre-Care Instructions

  • During the week leading up to treatment, avoid blood thinners, NSAIDs, St. John’s Wort, and vitamin E supplements. Consult your primary physician before discontinuing any medications.
  • Avoid alcohol and cigarettes for 24 hours before your Sculptra treatment.
  • If you are sick, have a cold, get a cold sore, or develop a rash on the treatment area, reschedule your appointment.

Post-Care Instructions

  • After your Sculptra treatment, massage the injection areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days.
  • For 2 days after your treatment, avoid hot tubs, pools, saunas, and strenuous exercise.
  • For the next 2 weeks, avoid skin treatments that use energy-based devices, including lasers, radiofrequency devices, ultrasounds, etc.
