What to Expect From Dermaplaning

Step 1: Scheduling

You don’t need a consultation before your dermaplaning treatment, so you can request an appointment whenever it fits your schedule.

Step 2: Treatment

We use a single-use surgical blade to shave off dead skin cells and remove peach fuzz. All you have to do is sit back, close your eyes, and relax!

Step 3: Results

You’ll see the benefits of dermaplaning immediately after your appointment. And with no downtime or recovery period, you can return to your normal routine with visibly refreshed skin!

Care Instructions

Pre-Care Instructions

  • For 2 weeks leading up to treatment, avoid exposing your skin to UV radiation from sunlight and tanning beds.
  • Don’t use any harsh skincare products, including retinols and exfoliating products, for 2 to 3 days before dermaplaning.
  • Let your provider know about previous skincare treatments, especially if you’ve used Accutane within the last year.

Post-Care Instructions

  • For a few weeks after your dermaplaning treatment, avoid UV exposure and wear sunscreen SPF 30 or greater.
  • Continue to avoid harsh skincare products, retinols, and exfoliants for 2 to 3 days after your treatment.
  • For the next few days, avoid excessive sweating by refraining from strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, etc.
