MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS

SEMAGLUTIDE & LEVOCARNITINE

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a FDA-approved injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist (GLP-1) that is administered once weekly to help with long-term weight management. GLP-1 is an incretin hormone that plays a role in your appetite and digestion. Incretins are sent out by your body after you have eaten a meal to help lower your blood sugar by triggering insulin and blocking other sources of sugar.

Incretin also slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach (called gastric emptying). The results of these actions cause you to feel full - lowering your appetite and causing you to lose weight.

What is Levocarnitine?

Levocarnitine, also known as L-Carnitine, is an essential amino acid derivative that promotes fat oxidation and weight loss. L-Carnitine is present in the body's skeletal muscles, heart, and brain that plays an important role in converting body fat into energy. L-Carnitine not only helps the body burn fuel as efficiently and effectively as possible, but it also improves endurance by inhibiting the build-up of lactic acid, which is one of the primary causes of fatigue. Studies show that patients whos use L-Carnitine for weight loss typically see a reduction in body fat, an increase in muscle mass, and improvement in stamina and strength, and decreased fatigue.
