Your expert provider will mark the treatment area with a temporary template to ensure precise targeting, then apply a local anesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Using the miraDry handpiece, we will deliver controlled thermal energy beneath the skin’s surface. This eliminates the sweat and odor glands, while the system’s cooling technology protects your skin and ensures comfort. The entire process typically takes 60-90 minutes.

What miradry Treats

miraDry® treats excessive underarm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis), unwanted body odor, and underarm hair. It works by permanently eliminating the sweat and odor glands in the underarm area using safe, controlled thermal energy. Whether you’re dealing with constant sweat stains, strong odor, or the daily hassle of deodorant, miraDry offers a long-lasting, non-surgical solution for feeling fresh and confident.

Did you know…

Your body has over 4 million sweat glands, but only about 2% are located in your underarms—which means eliminating them with miraDry won’t affect your body’s natural ability to cool itself! So you stay dry and safe.

Care Instructions

Pre-Care Instructions

  • Shave your underarms (ideally 4–6 days before your appointment). This allows a small amount of hair to regrow, which helps us accurately mark the treatment area.
  • Avoid waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams on your underarms for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
  • 24-hours prior to your appointment, do not apply deodorant or antiperspirant to your underarms.

Post-Care Instructions

  • Apply ice packs to the treated area for 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for the first 24–48 hours as needed to reduce swelling and discomfort.
  • Keep the area clean and dry. Use a gentle cleanser and pat dry—no scrubbing.
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing (like tank tops) to avoid irritation.
  • Avoid vigorous exercise or heavy lifting for 3–5 days post-treatment.
  • Wait a few days before shaving your underarms or using deodorant (typically 3–5 days or as advised by your provider).
