What is Subnovii Plasma treatment?

The Subnovii device stimulate fibroblast activity which then stimulates collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. It tightens and contracts the epidermis, resulting in firmer and more youthful skin.

What areas can be treated with Subnovii?

The most popular areas to treat are:

  • Forehead lines

  • Heavy eyelids

  • Wrinkles around and between the eyes

  • Peri-oral (around the mouth)

  • Nasolabial folds

  • Jawline

  • Neck

  • Décolleté

  • Scars

  • Stretch marks

Who is a candidate for Subnovii?

Not everyone is a candidate for this treatment, as some skin types may be at risk for post-procedure pigmentation issues. Your provider will review all of this during your consultation and recommend the appropriate treatment for your skin type.

What are the benefits of a Subnovii Plasma treatment?

  • Stimulates collagen products

  • Triggers cellular renewal and resurfacing

  • Tightens and tones

  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles

  • Diminishes the appearance of scars

How does Subnovii work?

The plasma pen should not be confused with human growth factors or a plasma blood treatment. Plasma with the Subnovii treatment refers to a stream of ionized gas. During treatment, the plasma device converts energy into a stream of gas consisting of oxygen and nitrogen known as plasma. The plasma stream causes a micro wound in the skin. This “micro trauma” triggers a natural healing response by stimulating fibroblast activity deep within the dermis. Increased fibroblast activity stimulates cell regeneration and the production of collagen. Simultaneously, thermal energy from the plasma stream heats the skins connective tissue, causing it to contract and tighten.

When can you expect to see results?

Results can be seen within a week after the treatment and will continue to improve for up to 6 months after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the desired results, more than one treatment may be necessary. Follow-up Subnovii treatments my only be performed 12 weeks after the previous treatment. Other facial treatments can be performed after 4 – 6 weeks.

What should I expect after the treatment?

Because the plasma device creates an instant wound on the skin, small scabs will form that can take 5 -10 days to fall off. The scabs are natural and a protective barrier to the magic taking place below.

Because the treatment area is immediately sealed, there is a very low risk of side effects, but the skin may feel tight and itchy as the area heals. Once the scabs fall off, the skin beneath may look pink. This is renewed skin and any redness should progressively fade.

What post-care steps are required?

Every patient will review specially formulate post-care products and instructions to keep the area dry to help with the healing process. It is important to use sun protection long after treatment and incorporate this into your daily skincare routine.
